St  Anthony Of   Padua

(  The Wonder Worker )    Feast Day 13th June

I have included this Novena as a memorial for my darling nephew and Godson, 

James Terrence Crofts who died in 2001 after a long battle with a rare and virulent brain cancer.

This was James' special Saint to whom he prayed. James was 14 years old when died on this feast day 13th June 2001.

A very brave young man, now at rest in the arms of Our Blessed  Lady, The Virgin Mary and The Sacred Heart .

Saint Anthony  was  a great Franciscan preacher, and sent out as a missionary. 

It is said that the Infant Jesus appeared to him, put His little arms around his neck and kissed him. This was due to the favour given to St Anthony because he kept his soul free from any sin, 

and that he loves Jesus so much.

 St Anthony is called the Saint of the World and a Miracle Worker

Novena   Prayer

Saint Anthony, glorious for the fame of your miracles, obtain for me from God's mercy this favour that I desire  

( mention your request)

Since you were so gracious to poor sinners, do not disregard my lack of virtue, 

but consider the glory of God which will be exalted once more through you granting of the petition

that I now earnestly present to you.

Glorious Wonder Worker, St Anthony, father of the poor and comforter of the afflicted I ask for your help. 

You have come to my aid with such loving care and have comforted me so generously.

 I offer  you my heartfelt thanks.

Accept my offering of devotion and the love and with it  an earnest promise which I  now renew, 

to live always in the love of God and my neighbour. 

 Continue to shield me with graciously with your protection, 

and obtain for me  the grace of being with you one day to enter the Kingdom of heaven , 

there to praise with you the everlasting mercies of God.

Note:

During my Nephew, and Godson, James' struggle, "The James Croft Hope Foundation" was established to raise funds for his ongoing treatment.

Since his death, the auspices of the Foundation have broadened to include raising awareness and provision of a resource centre for children suffering paediatric brain cancers and brain tumours. 

The foundation continues to  seek world renown specialists (cancer and other) for referrals  for their expanding international database.

The Foundation: The James Crofts Hope Foundation is a Not.- for- Profit Charity organisation. 

As part of   "Mystical Roses " commitment to research and development of paediatric cancers, 

we will donate 20% of all profits to the James Crofts Hope Foundation.
