The Stations of the Cross
These are the 14 steps in Jesus' Sorrowful Passion that he took on His way to the Crucifixion.
They are as follows:
1.
Jesus stands as the
crowds call for his death.
11.
Jesus takes on his own shoulder the heavy cross of our sins.

Jesus
carries the cross. He will fall
many times on the way .
1V.
Jesus meets his mother on the way to Calvary.
V. Simon of Cyrene forced to help Jesus carry the cross.

Veronica rushes to wipe Jesus’s
face.

Jesus falls a second time.

Jesus tells the women not to weep for him, but for themselves.
1X. Jesus falls a third time.

Jesus
arrives at Golgotha. He is stripped
of all human dignity.

Jesus is nailed to the cross by his
hands and feet.
X11. For three hours Jesus hangs in agony to redeem the world from sin.

The disciples take down the body of
Jesus from the cross.

The body of Jesus is laid in the tomb.
