As Written by St Thérèse of Lisieux in her Autobiographie "Story of a Soul "
Many thanks to Sr Anne of Jesus, ( OCD) Nedlands Carmelite Monastery Western Australia for kind permission to reprint this.

1.
Jesus
stands as the crowds call for his death.
Oh my God! Most
Blessed Trinity, I long to Love you and to make you loved, to work
for the glory of Holy Church by saving souls on earth and by delivering those
who suffer in purgatory.
I long to accomplish your will perfectly, and
to arrive at the degree of glory that you have prepared for me in your kingdom.
In a word, I long to be a Saint, but I feel my
powerlessness, and I beg, O my God! To be yourself my sanctity.
11.
Jesus takes
on his own shoulder the heavy cross of our sins.
Since you have loved me so much as to give me your only Son to be my saviour and
my Spouse, the
infinite treasures of his merits are mine.
To you I offer them with joy, begging you to
look upon me only through the Face of Jesus and in his Heart burning with Love.
111.
Jesus carries the cross. He
will fall many times on the way .
I offer
you, moreover, all the merits of the Saints in Heaven and on earth, their acts
of Love and those of the Holy Angels.

1V.
Jesus meets his mother on the way to Calvary.
Lastly I offer you, O Blessed Trinity! The Love and the merits of the Blessed Virgin, my dearest Mother.
To her I entrust my offering with abandon,
begging her to present it to you.
V.
Simon of Cyrene forced to help Jesus carry the cross.
Mary’s Divine Son, my Beloved Spouse, told
us during the days of his earthly life: “All that you ask my Father in my
name, he will give you!”.
I am certain then that you will fulfil my desires. I know, o my God!
“The more you will to give,
the more you make us desire”.
Ah! I cannot receive Holy Communion as often as I desire it, but Lord, are you not Almighty?... Remain in me as you do in the tabernacle. Never distance yourself from your little host…
V1. Veronica rushes to wipe Jesus’s face.
I long to console you for the ingratitude of the wicked, and I implore you to take from me the power to displease you.
V11. Jesus falls a second time.
If through frailty I sometimes fall, may your Divine Glance purify my soul immediately, consuming all my imperfections, as fire transforms all things into itself…..
V111. Jesus tells the women not to weep for him, but for themselves.
I thank you, O my God! For all the graces you have granted me, especially for having made me pass through the crucible of suffering. With joy shall I behold you on the last day bearing the sceptre of the Cross?
Since you have deigned to share with me the gift of this most precious Cross, I hope to resemble you in Heaven, and see the sacred stigmata of your Passion shine on my glorified body…
1X.
Jesus falls a third time. After this exile on earth, I hope to go to enjoy
possession of you in the Fatherland, but I do not want to amass merits for
Heaven.
I want to work for your Love alone, my sole aim being to please you, to console your Sacred Heart, and to save souls who will love your forever.
X. Jesus arrives at Golgotha. He is stripped of all human dignity.
At the evening of this life, I shall appear before you with empty hands, for I do not ask you, lord, to count my works. All our good works have stain marks in your sight. Therefore I want to be clothed in your own Justice, and to receive from your Love the eternal possession of Yourself. I want no other Throne and no other Crown, but You, Oh my Beloved…..
X1. Jesus is nailed to the cross by his hands and feet.
In your eyes time is nothing, one day is as a thousand years. You can, therefore, in an instant prepare me to appear before you…
X11. For three hours Jesus hangs in agony to redeem the world from sin.
To live in one act of perfect Love… I offer myself as a Victim of the Holocaust to your Merciful Love, imploring you to consume me unceasingly, letting the waves of infinite tenderness pent up in you overflow into my soul, that so I may become a Martyr of your Love, O my God!…

X111. The disciples take down the body of Jesus from the cross .
May this martyrdom, having prepared me to appear before you, cause my death at last, and may my soul rush forth at once into the eternal embrace of Your Merciful Love…
X1V The body of Jesus is laid in the tomb.
O my Beloved, at each beat of my heart I want to renew this offering to you an infinite number of times until, the shadows having vanished, I can tell you my Love again in an Eternal Face to Face!…
